GDT: Patience on real Hobbit News
Guillermo Del Toro has taken a break from his super busy schedule promoting ‘Hellboy II: The Golden Army‘ (in Theaters July 11th) to post on TheOneRing.net forum with a message of patience on Hobbit News: With rare exceptions, expect a lot of “no news” news to pop up everywhere “about the Hobbit”.
Some may try and be controversial with headings, some may try to spin old news into looking a little more recent. Some may even create a “scoop” feeling. But the bottom line is simple: There are no more news to report. That said, being on the HBII junket tour, many a question will have to do with “The Hobbit” and the answer that will be given will be pallid variations on themes already familiar to TORN readers. Doug Adams has offered fans a sneak peek of his upcoming book, “The Music of the Lord of the Rings Film”. This is a visual assembly of Adams’ own mock up layout of the book. I've been having relapses of the stomach thing I had a year and a half ago - the one where I went to the hospital and they told me there was nothing wrong, three times. I know it's stress related, I'm still not done, but it's pretty excrutiating and I have to take it a little easy.
On the other hand some of my plans are starting to circle the wagons and settle into place. I'm getting a better idea of what I'm going to be doing from now on which is kind of nice.
I went and saw my gran last week and it was good to see her but I find it really difficult too. She's in a home because she's old and her body is breaking down and her neuron's aren't firing as quickly as they used to and her short term memory is getting a little hazy but Dad was there too and we had a nice time chatting about The Beatles and Johnny Cash and other good things. Then coffee withatratus_rowena, my sis, who's gpa is 6.0 for her first semester and I haven't seen in months which is sad considering we can actually pretty much see each other's houses from where we live.
But my question:

So today, my other hard drive (same exact make and model as the previous one that failed) died today IN EXACTLY the same way as the other one. Ugh. It might be a power-related problem, so I'm gonna get a tester to see if its the power supply. If it is, hopefully all it'll take is a new PSU to get things stable...unless a faulty PSU has shorted out the Mobo, in which case everything is gonna eventually die.
Might be time to look into building a new machine. I hope not, but it's a possibility. My friend is giving me her old (and I do mean old) PC, and I was going to use it as a second PC. Now I might use it as a primary PC for a while until I can put a new one together. Wah.
